GASTEINER TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (thereafter "we, us, our ")

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRADE

These terms and conditions will apply to all orders placed on the gasteiner.com and gasteiner.co.uk websites.

Ordering and Delivery

All products offered on the gasteiner.com website are subject to availability and are exclusive of carriage charges. See Delivery for details of carriage charges.

We will not be obliged to despatch any goods for which an order has been accepted until we have received full payment by cleared funds.

The prices and manufacturers' specifications as shown on the gasteiner.com website are subject to change without notice. Prices may change because of currency fluctuations. We will endeavour to ensure that the prices on our website are accurate at the time that you place your order. If there is an error in the pricing we will inform you as quickly as possible and offer you the option of confirming the order at the correct pricing or cancelling your order.

We will use all reasonable endeavours to deliver your order to the premises stated by you, by any delivery date estimated by us. For the avoidance of doubt you acknowledge that the delivery date is not guaranteed or of the essence of these Terms & Conditions and that we shall in no circumstances be liable to you for any losses, damages or charges incurred by you due to the late delivery of your order. If any delay is under our control we will notify you of that delay as soon as possible.

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery and in all cases inform us in writing within 7 (seven) days of delivery of any damage, shortages or non delivery of the order. This does not affect your rights as a consumer.

Payment Options

We accept all forms of UK debit and credit card at no extra charge, except for American Express, for which there is a 2% surcharge. We do not charge your card until we have shipped your order.

Returns

We operate a simple, straightforward returns policy. If you need to return a product for any reason please follow these steps:

Contact us for a RMA (returns merchandise authorisation) number, which is valid for 7 days. If you are returning a PC System under warranty we will then arrange for a FREE collection of the system.
Ensure that you write the RMA number in a prominent place on the outside of the package that you return to us.
Unless it is a PC System under warranty, send the product back to us at your cost (we recommend insuring expensive items) and we will ship a replacement or a repaired product to you free of charge.

Cancellations

In accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000:

You have the right to cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched, without charge. If we cannot deliver the Goods within 7 days of the order being placed, you have the right either to cancel the order or to agree another delivery time with us.

Once the order has been dispatched to you, you may return any product to us for a full refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs) subject to the following terms and conditions:

You must contact us within 7 working days of receipt of the order.
Returned items must be in stock condition - unmarked, unopened and undamaged. All factory seals must be intact.
Faulty or damaged goods

Before returning a product as faulty we ask that you check with technical support for a possible solution. Gasteiner Technolgies Ltd considers a ‘reasonable period’ of time for a fault to appear as 28 days. Within this period, if you believe you have received a faulty product, or it was damaged in transit, we will exchange the unit or provide a refund, subject to the following conditions:

Contact must be made within 28 days of receipt of the order.
If you are returning the product for a refund, it must be returned complete (including all original packaging and box contents).
If you are returning the product for a replacement, we will not despatch the new unit until the faulty product has been received at our warehouse. If you need a replacement unit sooner than this, please place a second order and we will refund the first on receipt of the returned items.
Certain faults are not covered under this warranty e.g. physical damage or any sign of misuse to a unit or any fault caused by improper use (i.e. uploading incorrect firmware, blocking cooling vents) is not covered. In such cases we may reject the returned goods.
In cases where an item was returned as faulty but no fault could be found, or it showed signs of misuse we would return the item to you and reserve the right to charge a testing fee (between £10 and £25).
It is your responsibility to check that any serial numbers listed on the sales receipt agree with the parts supplied. Any errors found should be reported to us not later than 24 hours from the date of purchase.
For products, other than our PC systems, that are found to be faulty after the first 28 days of purchase have passed, we no longer offer a refund or a straight exchange. Instead the faulty unit falls under manufacturer’s warranty. In these cases we recommend that you contact the manufacturer directly, stating the product is outside the 28 day period. They will replace or repair the faulty product as needed. If you do not wish to deal directly with the manufacturer, you are within your rights to return the product to us; however, in these circumstances we would simply forward the faulty product on to the manufacturer for repair on your behalf. It is therefore much quicker for you to approach the manufacturer directly.

Manufacturers do not guarantee compatibility with 3rd party hardware. If a product is found to be incompatible with other equipment, but is not itself faulty then we would not be able to accept it back. We do not offer a trial period on purchases.

In all events our liability in respect of any sale shall be limited to the sale price of the goods sold.

The warranty offered is non-transferable and will cease to be valid if you should sell or transfer the ownership of the machine within any remaining warranty period.

We reserve the right to charge a fee not exceeding £50.00 for each hour spent re-installing hardware and/or software following the corruption, deletion or removal of our original installation due to your misuse/error or attempt to install other pieces of software.

These conditions shall apply in accordance with English law.

All the above do not apply to business-to-business transactions, as they are not covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Please contact us if you require our Business-to-Business Terms and Conditions.
